why not?

if its a manufacturers refurb then its likely to be 100%

i've bought many refurb items for lower prices and every single one has been as good as a full shop retail version
 
so its fine for me......

but i was planning on adding some more fans but i wanted to hook them up to an aircraft style switch would this be possible i would probably be adding 2 more 120mm fans but could i hook them up to aircraft style switches say in an empty drive bay like one of the 3.5 ones?
 
The case itself may be OK, I wouldn't rely on the included PSU to power even midrange hardware, though.
 
What's the wattage of the PSU?
What's the amperage on the +12V rail?
Do you know the brand of the PSU?
What will it be powering?
 
The eMachines is probably lower than the 450watt or maybe equal to. Earlier today as i was building my new system i looked inside my gateway at the PSU sticker and it was like 280watts.
