Hi all,
I'm making a configuration for a new PC, and i was thinking to ask for your opinion. I'm gonna use it for games and some SolidWorks.
Bellow you can see the configuration i had in mind.

MB: Asus P8P67 Deluxe Rev.3.0 --> http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8P67_DELUXE/
CPU: Intel I7 2600K 3.4 Ghz(3.8 Turbo) ,Fsb 1333 Mhz, 8 Mb L3 cache
Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2
PS: Corsair GS700 ( 700 W)
RAM : Kingston KHX1333C7D3K4/8GX , 8 Gb ddr3, 1333Mhz , CL7
Video: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked 1 Gb GDDR5-SDRAM
HDD: Western digital Caviar Blue, 1TB , 7200 RPM , 6 Gb/s, 32 Mb buffer
DWD-RW (not important)
Case: MS-Tech CA-0200 (Not so important :P)
Monitor: Lg E2250V LED (1920 x 1080)
Keyboard + Mouse: Logitech Mk710

Did i forgot something ? It's better to go for a triple chanell MB and CPU like i7-960 ???
Thanks !

You picked a laptop hard drive Mandia. I would look at this desktop hard drive because it has fast read speeds.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320 gigabyte 7200 RPM Serial ATA Hard Drive - $50.30

This processor is has almost the same processing power as the Core i7 2600K and it is about $100 less:

Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3 gigahertz (3.7 gigahertz Turbo Boost) Quad-Core Processor - $225

This RAM is also faster than your previous selected memory:

G.SKILL 4 gigabytes (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit RAM - $48

You also forgot the Windows installation disk.

so , i was a little forced by the budget and i decided for this config:

Corsair Gs700 700 W Power Suply
asus p8p67 deluxe rev 3.0
Intel Core I5 2500K
Corsair Venguance 2x4 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz C8
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 TI OC
WD Caviar Blue 1 TB 6 GB/s , 32 mb buffer
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2
and offcourse
dvd-rw, case and other irelevant things

it would help a lot to buy a SSD drive for Windows ?

WD Caviar Blue 1 TB 6 GB/s , 32 mb buffer

Since hdd is biggest bottleneck, yes. A 60-64GB Sata II SSD can be had for about $100 now.

Even with ssd some programs will be on hdd, so I would change the Blue drive to Samsung F4/F3 or Seagate 7200.12 or Black.
