good ethical hacking tools

I am just gitting into ethical hacking and I want to test the security of my network but I dont know what the best tools to use are, I dont mind speding alot of money (I know they can get expensive) for them as long as the tool works good, is easy to use, and can be updated esaly. What are some of the most popular and best working tools? Thanks.

dieferbiefer, while I understand your situation such tools can and are used to maliciously hack into networks. While your intentions may be good, discussing this would still leave what would amount to a 'how to' guide for would-be hackers publicly viewable on computerforum.
