good free mmorpg

hey , im looking for a good rpg or mmorpg thats free and isnt really really boring after playing for a little while... i really like crafting in these kinda games as well as differnt races or classes to choose from. but the main thing is i dont want to get bored within a few hours! thanks!! any ideaas??

I really don't think there are any(that are free), there's always free servers. There not illegal as long as you don't pay the people running the server. Theres SWG, WOW, UO, Everquest(lame)servers. Do some research.
 
there are a bunch of free mmo's out there....

umm try perfect world, i played it for a while and its pretty fun. i only stopped playing cuz of school.
 
issue with most F2P games are the fact that they get their cut through Item Malls so most games are horribly over priced and powered so 90% are ruined by Item Mall.

Perfect World is a good one...a lot of ganking after 40 but its fun. Best part about it is you can buy the item mall gold from the auction with in-game money AND you can buy the item mall items off other players with in-game money.


I am still a fan of Diablo 2 LOD...before the botters destroyed the servers.
 
Runescape is kind of cool and it is free (Believe me I have QUIT) I dont like it now some updates kind of ruined it for me.
 
I dont think there are many free good mmrpgs out there due to it costing money for additional content.Some of the good ones like Ac1 had monthly patches where there was always something new to keep it from getting old.

It isnt free but Darkfall is coming out soon(waiting for LOL's) but is suppose to have all types of combat and is skill based .it has been in designe since 2001 and was even thought to be vaporware till recently.I guess we will see.But it is suppose to be a ground breaking game,I hope so.

Another one is the chronicles of spellborn and mortal online which will be aways down the road.

Vanguard is suppose to be good now and is allready out and has good graphics although I havent played it myself
