Good gaming build or no?

That was another reason why I liked AMD, not to get you too confused by me saying that. I liked the mobo setup, it allowed me to run a dual-core and then have the choice of upgrading to a quad-core in the future, if needed.

I'm gonna do a bit of research and see if I can't find some better deals with Intel.

Wrong your confused again, AMD is the same way, you can upgrade to quad-core with intel aswell watchutalkinboutwillis??? Those links I gave you are as good as there gonna get unless you get it from ebay. Like I said it's higher quality and you can overclock them more and the'll be at lower temperatures. For example that amd you have there is a dual core and so is the e8500 they have quad cores aswell same rules apply only diff is the quality.

and price, which TBH is the only thing holding me back, but then again when isn't that the problem. I'd love to go with Intel, but the fact is it just gets too expensive. :(

But yeah, your right intel and amd dual to quad upgrades are the same, my bad.

I understand quantity over quality... less is more, i guess if I had the choice of getting a delicious hamburger or a cheap moldie one I guess I would pick the moldie one too... or would i?? If price is really an issue I would wait till they come out with the new models then the price will drop in half, and the price will drop in half again when we sky dive a little deeper in the depression.

Well, that works out well, because, I'm not really planning on buying anything until after december, so I pretty much change this setup everyday finding lower prices and better deals. So, now your probably wondering why I asked if this was a good setup of not if it is probably going to change tomorrow? Well, it will still give me a good idea as to what to look for.

Btw, did you notice any bottleneck spots? I wasn't sure if a 4830 would be overkill. Not sure if your more familiar with GeForce or not, but think of the 4830 as a slightly better version of a 9800 GT.
