Good Gaming Computer Choice?

Well, for starters, I've not heard good things about All-In-One computers from HP. However, the processor here is rather puny to be honest. E-450? That's only 1.65GHz. While this should work wonderfully for your papers, you'll need to step up the processor to get decent performance for games. The FX processors from AMD and i5/i7 processors from Intel are great for gaming. These provide top of line performance for games. I have not looked up the specs for Guild Wars, but I'm inclined to think you probably won't need the top of the line in those processor categories.

For about the same price (probably just a bit more though), you could probably build a computer that could play decent games and last a lot longer.
 
Simply put, no. Slow CPU, integrated graphics card. And there's no way to upgrade one of those, so you're stuck with what ya got.
 
Is there anything at best buy for around 500 that will be really good with games? I ask this because I have 100dollar gift card I can take off the price.

That would be better but your NOT going to get any form of gaming machine from any known brand for that little, especially at any large chain like best buy or walmart. Closest thing will be a computer with an AMD A6 or A8 processor which have decent integrated graphics, but they won't play games in HD or with high settings. Best bet would be a super cheap computer with a decent cpu, then upgrade it.
 
What about building one. I've seen those custom designed computer builds that apparently are great for games. If I'm willing to spend 600 could I buy a nice computer and monitor? Also if this is true does anyone have a recommendation?
 
Custom built is the way to go, only thing is that best buy doesn't carry much and what they do is terribly overpriced, you might be able to get a decent monitor from them for a good price though. will do a list later for build (newegg is the place for parts man ;))
 
Im not looking for an amazing computer. Just one that will run the game good. Does anyone have something in mind? Or I was thinking about building one. This one exactly.

Nice, that builds fine for cheap, there are things that I would change, but I will leave others to that. But that Power supply, the coolermaster 460 is a piece of junk, it is very possible it could blow up and take other parts with it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371045 This is a similar price that in the end, is outputting more watts even though it's 10 watts less. That coolermaster 460 is cheap, which means low efficancy. It's peak is 460, it will probobly never go there, probobly 400 on a good day. The Antec should go 430 or more.
 
Prebuilts are kind of an iffy way to go, most of them have some component on them that the builder cheaped out on to cut costs. Personally, i'm most picky about power supplies because if it goes it runs the risk of taking everything else out too- and you'd have to start all over again or else go through painful rma's. There's a number of good ones out there but I keep coming back to the Corsair AX series. If you don't want to waste money on all that stuff, these are a solid bet to keep your system protected and running well without problems. Worst case scenario, rma it since they offer a very long 7 year warranty on their products. Since it doesn't appear like you're running anything too demanding in that rig i'd go with the 750watt version:

It's not a prebuilt computer I'm buying. It's just showing the supplies I need to build it. And 169 for a fan? Are you sure that 39$ won't work?
