2. What is the difference of the 8800GT series and the 8800GTS series. I am assuming the GTS stands for supreme or something and it is of higher quality. Thanks

The old G80 8800GTS is beaten by the 8800GT but the new G92 8800GTS is better than the 8800GT. The link below is the old 8800GTS

This area can confuse many people, especially with the 8800 series. The first generation of 8800GTS's (320 and 640MB), perform worse then the 8800GT, however the new 8800GTS (512MB), perform a bit better then the 8800GT 512MB.

I have an EVGA 7600GT, and haven't had a single issue with it.. I'm not sure about XFX, as I've not dealt with them before.

XFX seems pretty good. I just want to point out that I heard that some Asus tend to use a different plug for their cooling than the standard, which could limit you from using aftermarket cooling.
