Good HDD Deal?

Poor wording on my part, I guess. Tiger Direct and Zipzoomfly are both offering the same drive for the same price after a $30.00 MIR. My point was Zipzoomfly was also offering free shipping.
 
did u compare to ne and compusa. I never had a bad experience with newegg and never found a better price.
 
Yeah, Newegg is now offering the same drive for the same price with a MIR and free shipping as well. Or if you want the open box, it is $100 more. Don't really understand why they sometimes increase the price for open box. But sometimes Newegg's price can be beat, so it is not a given they will always have the lowest.
 
well of course... I understand that ne doesn't always have the best prices (i know, i know I said they always have the best prices...I was exaggerating) , however, they do have excelent reputation with their customer support, delivery time and prices, seem to have more mir's than anyone, and have the best searching capabilities I've ever seen in a sales site of any kind.

I suggest always checking NewEgg and TigeDirect before purchasing anything electronic... ever.
 
it's a great price, but i'd really go a bi tmore and get a Seagate or something... i've had 2 hitachi's crap out on me, it's devastating...
 
From what I've seen the brands are all about equal in terms of reliability. People have bad things to say about every brand, so I would just buy based on price (and performance, but that is pretty consistent).
