Good image editing program?

I like to get a decent free image editing program . That would be able to correct and change many things in my photos , can someone help???

Photoshop is not even close to free.

Like the other 2 said, GIMP is your best choice.

Photoshop is great, though I haven't tried GIMP.

Gimpshop is a modification of the regular GIMP I believe.

photoshop cs2 is the best of all (but is not free.. there's a trial version)...
or the gimp is the best free...
