Good Maintenance program...

Well I think my project for tomorrow will be to completely scrap my windows install and start fresh. Im debating whether or not to go out and buy a 1TB HDD to perform this on but regardless, I want to do a fresh install of Vista... basically im getting sick of all the junk ive accumulated on it since November.

So my question: Is there such a program that would give me specific details about what programs I have installed and what drivers have installed? I want to make this as pain free a process humanly possible so I want to basically run down each program and driver as I install them and get them knocked out and reinstalled.

*I should add that I am performing a backup on my external HDD but I dont know for sure if that includes all my drivers or not...

1. - you should be able to download the drivers off the net.
2. - Run CCleaner
3. - In hijackthis you can get txt file that shows you what programs are installed on the computer.

u could also go and click ur start menu and hit programs to see a big list, or go to control panel add/remove progs and get a list, and as far as drivers everest home edition may help as it shows drivers and mobo model and other such things.

So heres the real question... Do I block off the next 4 hours of my life to reinstall Vista or is there a better way to perform a total overhaul and get things back running smoothly?

it didnt even take me that long goin from xp to fresh install of vista back to xp then to ubuntu while backing up 60 gigs of photos, music and vids and redownloading all my programs

im exaggerating because its not my favorite thing in the world to do... I went and rode my bike on the traisl today instead :P To nice to be indoors.
