1. Yes and no, the ram will work in that board, but your CPU wont fit into that board.

2. Id recommend getting a prolimatech megahalems + AM2 retention bracket or a TRUE(id recommend the megahalems though).
Megahalems: http://jab-tech.com/Prolimatech-Megahalems-CPU-Cooler-775-1366-pr-4428.html
Bracket: http://jab-tech.com/Prolimatech-AMD-retention-mount-adapter-kit-ARM-01-pr-4455.html

3. No, that is an AM3 board which requires DDR3 and an AM3 CPU, as the memory controller is on die.

Some nice am2+ mobos that will run your current cpu:

Ok thats what I thought

Sorry I should have explained it a little better. I am buying the parts seperately as I dont have a huge chunk of money. I still plan on buying the parts as I am slowly building an AM3 rig.

The whole main plan Is to build me an AM3 rig so I can give my old rig to my step dad for his b-day.

Things I need to get after my first list:

-New proc of course (Am thinking PII 720 or 945 if price drops)
-New Os hdd
-DVD Burner

I would however recommend getting a 2gb single module, or 2x2gb kit as 1gb of memory is relatively low, and if you were planning on getting two 1gb modules, a single 2gb module would be better as you can toss in another 2gb for 4gb down the road.

But, I can also get two more 1gb sticks, no? I really dont have then need for 4gb of ram.

Edit: Whats faster 2x1gb sticks in dual mode or a single 2gb stick?

Well, its cheaper to get a single 2gb stick than two 1gb sticks, and 2gb is really cutting the bare minimum these days for gaming. Also, it requires more voltage and puts more strain on the memory controller to run 4x1 vs 2x2. Either way would work however, just saying it might save you some money;)

Could you recommend to me a nice 2gb stick? I dont really want to spend more than what that crucial is though. The 2x1gb stick of crucial is only like $44

Also wil I notice a big difference between 1333mhz and 1600mhz?

I think I'll prob go with the mushkin as I have heard many complaints from people about the led's on the tracer's. Thanks for the help!! Check your Shin Etsu thread
