im a computer novice and just need some help deciding whether this system is good or not:

I would suggest going up on the video card. A 7900 can easily beat that or go straight up to a 8800gts. But everything else looks fine

do you think its a must? because the site im using doesnt offer the 7900, and the 8800 is very very expensive.

the 8800gtx is very expensive, the GTS is about £50 more? it depends how much gaming you'll be doing, you can always upgrade it yourself later.

yeah looks a good system,i would get a GFX card at a later date if you can.

The system looks fine to be honest, is £660 around your budget?

Changing graphics cards is pretty simple but i don't think your going to need to if your not a heavy gamer. I play games from time to time and have tried some of the newer games without issue, my system being far inferior to the one you've posted up

well, 660 is probably over the budget but i want to buy a system which will last for a good few years. do you think its good value for money? im not really sure...

Buying a computer that is built by another company is always more expensive than if you built it yourself. That will definitely last a long time, but I would recommend getting a 32-bit operating system, rather than 64-bit, as 64-bit has poor driver support when compared to 32-bit.

I think it is over priced as i have put together a future build on ebuyer that kicks that pc for under £600 - do it yourself its fun

lol unfortunately i dont think theres any chance of me building it myself. way too much hassle for someone that doesnt even know if his own computer is decent
