Good package desktop deal?

[vieya]

Does anyone know what would be a good package deal with monitor keyboard mouse and speakers desktop deal that is under 1000 that is good? I've seen a lot at walmart but most of them are the AMD processor and reading up on it's slower than intel. What would you recommend if I were to buy a new desktop?

Are you looking to build one or buy it build? For $1000 I think you could get a nice un built computer custom and you could look into learning how to build a computer.

well i'm looking to actually buy one built already. but actually depending on the learning curve of building one myself, I might try to build one. But I wouldn't know where to start.

you should try and get a barebone system, go through this list http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=31&name=Barebone-Kits and see which one bests suites you, and the right price range, these are pre-built systems, just need to buy the remaining items... goodluck!
