I wanted to ask if someone could explain howo good this computer is and what its good for. I'm not very experienced with computers so I wouldn't know.

Some specs:

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
-Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
-4GB DDR2 Memory
-640GB SATA II HDD
-SuperMulti DVD±RW Labelflash
-Integrated Graphics
-Integrated Audio
-Integrated Gigabit LAN

For more specs click here.

Depends on what you are using it for. Not for gaming or video editing anyway.
And it is overpriced!!

This $600 machine will run as good as that gateway

With a $800 budget, these would be a better choice

As stated in the other thread:

You could build the same system for cheaper and also get a graphics card,
but it's not a bad system. You could throw a nice graphics card in it and be
good to game.

Not bad, but a little too expensive for what you're getting, especially since
the RAM is only DDR2 800.

BUT, prebuilt systems come with tech support. Something
you won't get if you build your own. That's worth something
I guess.
