Good PC?

hp sucks, the comp isn't terrible but not worth the money at all, look at the how to build a desktop thread and if interested for 1k you can max out almost every single game on the market.
 
look at newegg.ca and canadacomputers i think was the other site. and again, are you interested in building your own comp as it gives better value, better quality, and better warranties.
 
Yea I saw Canada Computers and they have a store nearby my house with all the parts that I would need to build a pretty good gaming computer.
 
for building what would you like to spend, same as that around 1k or do you want as cheap as possible and what exactly do you want to do with it
 
The 560 can net better than a 6950, but that call is up to you. A 2500k is a good processor. Of coarse bigfella will recommend it.

With a total budget, we can create a build list for you. Get all the parts necessary and that will work together.
 
looking at benches of games the 6950 seems to beat the ti so idk where you got that. but for what you said you'd be looking at about 1k i think, maybe less.
 
REREAD my post before you ****ing start spreading shit around.

I said CAN NET BETTER. that means higher OC capabilities than a 6950. Not only that, but benches are skewed one way or the other all the time. Game performance is the best indicator.
 
which are only as good as the system they are installed in. I could very well set up a benchmark to show that a HD4570 is better than a GTX560ti, by installing the GTX on a P4 2.5GHz system with 512 MB of ram and Windows 2000, and the 4570 on a 550 4GB and windows 7. Its not just the GPU that affects FPS retard.

Being from Canada, i would watch out on prices of computers and what you get. I know here in Alberta, there are not very many choices of 'where to buy' a complete computer. I would suggest building your own. I know for myself, i found that Memory Express was cheaper then Newegg.ca. But don't just limit yourself there. There is also NCIX. Check out their YouTube channel.

I personally use Memory Express all the time. Their prices are good, service and warranty the best, and they have my parts right there (get em and install em the same day).

No i am not advertising :l

Johnb's banhammer can only hold steady for so long, I've grown tired of restraining him, so if arguments continue and you all can't find a way to discuss computers in a respectful manner, I'll let him loose. I'll leave it up to his discretion from this point.
 
Well, I was planning to build a PC before this but then I decided it would be easier to just buy this so I was going to until you guys talked me out of it. So before when I was planning to build it, here with the choices of my builds recommended by most of you.

Somewhere around $1100-$1450.

Also I'm going to wait for the HDD price to go down alot before I buy it because it has gone up from $80 to $215 in a couple of months. Thanks for the feedback.
