Just started gathering the bits together for my new pc, i have got an X2 4200+ chip and i plan on using this mobo:

I planning on buying this case as the reviews i have read said it is quite good for cooling but not expensive:

I know this psu will work with the case as its made by the same people, but what i wanted to know is if it will be suitable to use with the motherboard i plan on using?

Thanks

it will, but if you ever plan to sli it only has 1 pci-e power connector, so you would need a 4 pin molex to pci-e adapter cable if you plan on it. a better bet would be an sli certified psu if you are going to utilize it.

thanks for the input, im not really big on graphics, will only play the odd game, so i dont plan on going sli. Aslong as its capapable of powering the basic componets and all the fans on the case, il be happy.

Thanks
Mike

that was a board that was recommended to me. Also, i believe the sli is only a bridge and not on the board so it doesnt need to be used.

Sorry if that isnt correct, this is my first go at building my own pc, so im still learning.

no it doesn't need to be used, but on a sli board you get two pci-e slots.
what are you going to use the extra slot for?
you could get a board with extra regular pci slots with only one pci-e.

well, i ended up purchasing the power supply, and looking at it, it does have two pci-e power connectors, so i suppoze i could go with sli if i ever wanted to at a later date?
