Good PSU?

Didn't know that a small argument will break out....
Anyways from reading what has been posted My eyes are on the

Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W
Has what I want:
520w
1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)
1 x 4+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V
6 x Peripheral
6 x SATA
1 x Floppy
2 x PCI-E

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W
Has what I want:
1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)
1 x 4-Pin/8-Pin EPS Connector
6 x Peripheral
6 x SATA
2 x Floppy
1 x PCI-E

Dislike- it's 400w

XCLIO GOODPOWER 500W
Has what I want:
500w
1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)
1 x 12V (P4)
6 x peripheral
2 x SATA
2 x PCI-E
1 x Floppy

Dislike - Only 2 sata connectors

Really you cant go wrong with the antec if you want the power for upgradeability. 30A isnt all that much if you plan on running a quad and a decent gpu, anything above a 4870 or gts250 you wouldnt be able to run on the corsair.

Also, a point to note, both the corsair and antec are based off of the same seasonic platform/design.

bomber, my system maxes at 220W from the wall. explain where 30A is going on that system, even with a 4870 or quad. 150W for those components max, plus 150W for rest, is 25A on the 12V rail.

The amperage increase on the Antec is insignificant as something to choose over another. The OP is stuck on wattage and that is why he is choosing it. The 30A on the Corsair is loads, with better quality, warranty, capacitor quality, efficiency, and build qual. The failure many make is to not calculate in capacitor ageing. THis can account for 40% reduction in efficiency, thermal control and MTBF. Thus the warranty of 5 years for the Corsair with a MTFB of 40oC vs the competition at 25oC and a warranty of at best 3 years. 30A is heaps.

Its not fan boy, but they cover the range extensively with quality, and if you read the forums re: Corsair, you will see massively positive customer service. That is what counts. They back up their kit. However it is rarely about this, and more about flashy lights and how many watts a GPU company states.

Wattage means little, but the antec is a fine psu either way.

Well, you are running a somewhat energy effecient/lower power draw gpu when it comes to midrange gpu's, a dual core, etc. A quad will draw more power than a dual core, especially if you intend to overclock it. Not to mention, a higher amperage helps compensate for capacitor aging over a period of years. Also, as far as MTBF, 25c is more or less much the industry standard, some manufacturers rate theirs at higher temperatures though(zalman rates @ 45c, OCZ Rates theirs Z series @ 50c, Pcp&C rates @ 50c, etc). Although, considering both units are based off the same seasonic platform mtbf should stay similar between both units. Plus an extra 10A on the antec is 120W over the corsair, and would provide plenty of future power if the OP ever intends to upgrade/go crossfire/etc.

Also as a point to note, my current system draws around 420W from mains, and all i am running is a single 9800gtx and an(albiet highly overclocked) Q9450.
