Good ram

Any set should boot up without issue at stock voltage, but to get them to run at the advertised speed/timings you'll have to increase the voltage.

You don't have to buy the most expensive corsair memory :D. I'd recommend a Corsair set of DDR2 over most any Kingston set.http://

The Latency is the same as the Kinston memory seen there. Plus that was just a little but not much higher on price. For Asus boards Kingston has been working out better then the Corsair xms without ocing. What is being looked for however is the "fastest" memory. Newegg is a little low on stock at the moment. Other brands offering faster timings can often be cheap memory!

The fastest memory supported on that model is DDR2 800 PC2-6400. If you were able to even see this other memory run it would backclock to the defaults of the 800 speed. Memory won't run faster then the board will support. That model runs the 533, 667, and 800mhz dimms.

oh okay thanx for straighting taht out for me

Always refer to the board's specifications when deciding on memory and other hardwares. That will save you from a load of costly headaches when you buy the "wrong thing"?! oooooh nnnoooo I should have.... !
