Hi guys, i recently decided that my crappy 3 gb ram lenovo laptop wasnt enough to run my youtube channel. I do some light video editing but id like to start doing some more advanced editing and id like to be able to do a bit of gaming aswell (minecraft, Bf, trials etc.) what would you guys suggest i should get as parts keep in mind i want to use the Fractal Design Define R4 and id rather use intel products over amd, thanks a lot!

Grab yourself an i7 4770K and a good Z87 board such as the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC. Get 16GB of RAM too. Maybe get an aftermarket cooler and overclock the i7 too.

That's probably the Intel setup which will do video editing the best and provide good value for money.

Hows this:
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Xigmatek Dark Knight II SD1283 Night Hawk Edition 89.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows 8.1 - OEM (64-bit)
AOC E2260SD 60Hz 22.0" Monitor

Looks good but you don't need an 800W power supply (a Corsair CX600M will be perfectly fine) and the GTX 660 is a card from 2 years ago which I didn't even particularly like or recommend when it was new. You'd be better off with a GTX 760 or a GTX 770 if you can afford it. If you can't afford a 760 or a 770, look at a used 670 or possibly a 680.

The rest looks good though.
