Good wireless adapter for Vista?

Could anyone suggest a good wireless adapter for a Vista? I'm a big gamer and I'm hoping I can get a pretty good connection. The router is on the same floor and about 20 FT away through walls. I was thinking about this

It's a bit pricey but seems to be kind of powerful. Thanks in advance for any input.

Oh, I see. I'm a bit new when it comes to computer hardware and building. So would that just be as simple as plugging in and playing?

yes, there is nothing like a wired connection

what WI FI router do you have, if it is only 54g then you will have to use a 54g pcmcia card

WI FI can be a pain. Back 2001 when WI FI came on the scene. WI FI worked really well. I don't know what it is , wireless phones, alarm systems, toys all on the same freq with wi fi now, then add in all the ppl that have it plus , i am sure some of the commercial 2 way radio channels, well wi fi can either be fantastic or quirky to none at all. The worst part is you can not look at a house and say yup that one will work or not.

Yeah pretty much, then you dont have worry of your wireless dropping out in a online game and you`ll find you will have better ping (lower) using a hard wired connection.
