Good word counter?

Im trying to learn speed reading and having a some kind of an automatic word counter plug in would be fantastic. Just like there are toolbars above the browser - anyone knows if it even exists?

Just google word counted, and bookmark a site. You learn to count words in a string in 10'th grade, if you study computer programming, so they're very easy to make, and they're everywhere. I don't think it's worth to search for an extension, if so, you might find something in chrome extensions library.
