Goodbye Microsoft Windows 2000 :'(

Microsoft ended support for Windows 2000 yesterday. MS Windows 2000 will be missed by many. To show my respect, I am posting from from my etower 400id that has Win 2K SP4 on it.

Windows 3.1 was a pain though.

2000 was a good operating system. Remember how quick you switched to "classic veiw" when xp came out?

It had a good lil over 10 years life span. I'm just curious to see how long XP lasts...

I would think much longer considering how about 6 months ago you could get netbooks with xp. Plus during the vista years a lot of people continue to use xp till windows 7. So I would say it has a long while.

I loved Win2000. XP was based upon it, and it was a great stable, low-resource alternative to XP and the 98 based versions. I thought Micro$oft ended support for Win2k a long time ago. Hmm, I wonder who still uses it other than me and CareyS?

Ah sad news...i loved Windows 2000 back on my Pentium 2 rig,it was so reliable.

Windows 2k was fast even on my old Athlon XP rig.

I dual boot my netbook with Win2000 and Win7 starter It [Win2000] uses so much less system resources than 7... Still, we must go on, regardless of how much we "loved" an OS

The Athlon XP processor was a fairly speedy one.

I just replaced the power supply on a desktop computer with an Athlon XP 2400+ Processor. It is still a decent processor for browsing the Internet, word processing and old video games.

W2K was my second OS to Win 3.1. Good times
