microsoft isn't going to be happy ;) maybe they will stop making people pay extortionate prices for their o/s
 
Very good idea, consideringi doabout 70% of what i do online, from games, internet to music, that would definitaly be best for a notebook over an actual desktop, cause of it limitations, but good idea overall:good:

Google has been able to boost the speed of the system by designing it for specific hardware. The firm said that it would only run on computers using "solid state drives" instead of traditional hard drives.

Prolly via USB.

I'm running it in VirtualBox. I couldn't get it running in VMware. I'm not impressed with it yet, but I can see that it has a lot of potential in the netbook arena. It seems to run fast with only 1GB of RAM allocated and it boots immediately. Haven't really played with it much.
 
Duuuddee. Google was fast at getting that out. Their stocks are going to go UP on the final release. :) It looks sweet, perfect for my slow crap-top :D

To be honest it is nothing special at all. I would recommend a full blown Linux distro over running it for quite some time since it is in Alpha stage as we speak.
