google chrome saving everything

I noticed today that I have a bunch of junk in my downloads folder, most of which i barely used for a second and it yet its saved into my downloads folder. Is this just with google chrome that it saves everything? I did the clear downloads button in google chrome but all the junk is still left in my downloads folder. Any help or suggetions!

I believe it is the same case with Mozilla Browser. Deleting them on your browser does not mean deleting the them in the DOWNLOADS folder. What is in the browser is just a list of what has been downloaded. I dunno a trick that will automatically do that.

Anything you Download is downloaded to your hard drive. If you want to delete them, go directly to your download folder and simply hold shift + right click delete them.

Even if you started downloading something for say 5 seconds and then canceled it, whatever files were successfully downloaded are now files within your own computer. So, absolutely everything you download (music, pictures, videos, games, .pdf's, .etc) is downloaded to that folder.
