Ok I haven't been on here for years. My sisters birthday is coming up and I know that she has been wanting a new laptop. I saw an add on tv for the Google Chromebook for $249. I also now that she want to start playing Guild Wars 2. My question is if the Google Chromebook worth it and can it handle Guild wars 2 on it's highest sittings without any lag?

Here is the sight:

Oh I thought it used windows. Never mind then. What is a good laptop that can run Guild wars two, but wont break the bank?

What is your budget? Chances are it is going to cost $650+ to get one that will play it. More if you don't want it to run better than minimum settings.

Nope. Chromebooks run the Chromium [Linux] OS from Google, which are basically one large Chrome app. That's why they're called Chromebooks ;)

Minimum System Requirements

Windows XP Service Pack 2 or better
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon 64 X2, or better
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
25 GB available HDD space

Alright forget maximum sitting then. What is the best I can get for the minimum? Budget depends on how much my father is willing to pay me back. He is the one that wants to buy it for her, and I know she wants guildwars 2, so I just want to get a laptop that can run it.

Nope it won't run any decent games. This is a cheap laptop to use for social networks and maybe blogging. Nothing else.
