Google Desktop

Greetings people of the world!

I have a question for you... I downloaded and installed the freeware Google Desktop, which includes the Sidebar (and associated widgets) and the desktop crawler, which has indexed all my files (like the Finder part of OS X (Tiger and newer, I believe)). Now, if I need to locate a file/document/etc, all I do is search via the crawler...

My questions to you are these:

Who else here uses this service?
Who uses one like it?
ARE there others like it?

I ask this because Google itself, in the EULA, states that only limited information is sent to Google HQ for custom services (or something like that)... I want to eliminate all possibility of Spy/Malware (I know, I know, Google is our friend) but I don't like the thought of someone somewhere having a list of all the documents on my desktop.

Your thoughts please...

Cheers

I use it at work. Its very useful for searching though lots of art files.

Who else here uses this service?
Yea, I like it alot. =)

ARE there others like it?
There are a few programs like it, But I trust google more than these other, third party ones. For example Yahoo also has a desktop search.
