Google Nik Collection now free

Is it any good? My wife typically uses picasa, I'm not really into photography. She's been looking for a more user friendly photoshop-ish application.

Never tried it, was actually looking for comments from people who used it

Ok I tried the HDR software. It's pretty easy to use, a little bit more friendly for amateurs than Photomatix. Here is a video of me trying it with an old photo:
