Google now

I recently got the samsung galexy 4 and added the google now widget. On my home screen, there is a box that says "no cards". When I tap this box, nothing happens. I think when I tap "no cards", a menu or something should pop up, if not, than how do I use google now? I can't seem to find any websites explaining it.

I would re-install, I tapped on show more cards and mine shows more cards.

It's an app that came with the phone, so it can't be removed, or re installed. How can I re-install it?

It's in Apps, then Widgets. It should be there, as it's part of 4.1.2. It's a 2x4 tile in the Widget menu (mine is on the 5th screen, top right corner), just add it to a screen and tap than tap "Get Google Now". Can't you swipe up from the Home button to open GN? I'm on a GS2, but I seem to recall the 4 could do that. It learns based on what you use the phone for/search for, so if you inadvertently swiped away the generic cards, it might not have enough info to cater the cards for you yet.
