Google problem or not?

Hello...
Just today, I was surfing and all was fine. I was clean of viruses and all, and I am pretty sure it's true. Then, about 14:00 ( Greenwhich time ), I couldn't run google. Then I could only go to couple of sites, and it was slow.
My friends here also had the same problem. It lasted about 1 hour, and now it's fixed.
However, my Nod32 has found several ( 15-16 ) MyWebSearch viruses, just at 14:30, meaning just when google had problems.
Reminding that I was clean just couple of minutes ago, and google had problems, I though it's maybe google infected with such sort of AdWare.
It would all be logically,google was out of work because it was full of viruses.

Now I must go to safe mode to clean my RECYCLEr arghh, and I'm lazy...

But my point here was, is it possible that the google transeferd us viruses today?
And, has any1 else experienced such a problem?
P.S. My friend checked out, seems that yahoo didn't work either... Search engines problem, or something more deeper...?

I doubt google could get infected by viruses such as MyWebSearch... ;) It's just too big to be that vulnerable :P

Anyway google works fine for me right now, I don't about at 2PM, I was biking and skateboarding ;)
 
Well, it's time for an update now.
I've found like 40 more MyWebSearch 'products'.
I was just too confused, how did that happen, I mean I should know some things about the security.
Yeah I cleaned all, then my friend called told me his Nod32 ( Nod32 FTW! ) has found MyWebSearch infection on computer, always same folder; MyWeBSearch/.bin/1.bin/mws......
So I got there cleaned that infections ( there were more than 60, more than my computer has got ).
That convinced me my theroy was right.

Then, my other friend ( who had the same problem with google ) said she couldn't find the infection, and she couldn't even with my help. She was clean.

Also, Benji looks clean and I am really,really surprised and don't know how did this come.

And, it's not from P2P I've already said, I didn't have it until the google problem came.
And my friend doesn't use it btw...

Therefore I call any1 who reads this forum who had some problems with google today, to see if he/she is infected with this sort of AdWare.

I really don't think it's coming from google. Probably some trojans/spyware on your machine that downloaded mywebsearch at 14:00 which would explain the slow connection and the files. It could be hiding under something you think is a safe file... Just a thought.
 
I haven't downloaded anything today, and certainly I haven't downloaded anything that my friend has. Meaning, we have to find something common, and all I can currently find is google.

For all the infections you showed me, there is a worm on the computer, not FROM google ;)
 
Of course, but it doesn't mean the viruses aren't downloaded from google.
When google was down today, many people could have tried to enter it and pick up some nasty on the way. Anyway, I don't see any1 else answering here, I'll just wait now.
In fact I am still not sure did this hit only Croatians or all people... ( google and net falled down for an hour ).

Now here is my thought on this:
You and your friends who witnessed the net being down were infected by mywebsearch. I think it's because it was downloading over 60 files (malware) and took your connection for an hour or more...
 
Nice, why was it downloading over 60 malwares? I was on ComputerForum here and I tried to switch to User Control Panel and I noticed it's veryyyyy toooo slow...
I tried some other sites and google at last; nothing worked.
To all my friends I know and have on msn , net was down, yet only me and my friend ( for now ) have had viruses.
Explanation!!
 
Why was it downloading 60 viruses?? Are you really asking me that?

What's the main purpose of a malware? To infect your computer.
 
Ok this is what I've been waiting. This means you finally admitted we got these cuties from google.
The prove, proof or however you spell it, is that we were both on the other sites when it started happening. I was here, he was on footytube watching videos when it fell down.
Also, the only site that fell was google, you could enter all sites using address bar.
Interesting...
 
I said nothing about where it was coming from ;)

I said it could come from a trojan you picked up anywhere that was downloading those 60 files, which slowed your internet because downloading means use of connection :P

I was on forum how many times do I have to say that...
Anyways, no1's answering, if you ask me it's just a history now...

Now my stupid theory fell in water lol.
Anyway, why did google break down yesterday?
And did any1 have such problems except we in Croatia here??
