Google Reader to be killed

Google Reader is going to be gone in July this year according to this blog post: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-second-spring-of-cleaning.html

I really didn't use it that often, had a couple comics and some very niche-specific blogs in there, but I'm going to miss it.

Looking into alternatives, like Feedly, which seems to be pretty good despite how overloaded it is right now.

What do you guys think of this news?

I will miss it, a lot.

Having said that though, I've been using the Chrome add on Feeder for all my RSS feeds lately, works like a charm!

Same here. I don't like the Android app quite as much as Google Reader's, but the desktop client and Chrome extension are great.
