Google search results.

What is going on here?

I will search Google for something, and the results will come up. When I click on a result, a new tab opens, but the site doesn't come up. This happens every single time.

The only way to get to the site is to manually copy and paste the search result address into a new tab, but this isn't always practical because sometimes the address is too long and has a "..." in it, so it is not the actual address.

What browser are you using and have you tried a different one? Sounds like you've got some sort of extension or addon (or possibly malware) that's messing it up.

It was with Internet Explorer. Firefox does not have this problem. I just quarantined all MalWare a couple days ago. Are there some browser settings I can change to stop this?

Your antivirus program and malwarebytes won't catch all malware out there these days, thats why a multitude of programs are used to make sure you are clean. Have you ran Adwcleaner or Junkware removal tool? Have you tried resetting IE back to defaults?

If you haven't ran adwcleaner or junkware removal tool then here.

1.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your Desktop.

•Please close all open programs and internet browsers.
•Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
•Click on Scan.
•After the scan you will need to click on clean for it to delete the adware.
•Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
•Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.
•You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[Sn].txt as well - n is the order number.

2.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

•Shutdown your antivirus to avoid any conflicts.
•Very important that you run the tool in this manner:
Right-mouse click JRT.exe and select Run as administrator
Do NOT just double-click it.
•The tool will open and start scanning your system.
•Please be patient as this can take a while to complete.
•On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
•Post the contents of JRT.txt in your next message.
