Just got my hp pavilion limited edition pc
Intel pentium dual core @3.2 ghz,1 tb hard drive,4 gigs of ram. i have my old hard drive from my crappy dell but it has windows vista basic, can i connect it to my current computer to get some files out of there and if i can how do i do it? my old computer broke so i cant do it by usb. i also have a nvidia graphics card that has like 350 mb integrated...would it be better to use that over the hp integrated graphics?and use the dvi connection over the vga cable? if someone can help me i would really appreciate it :)

Usually a Dedicated Video card is better, but it just depends if it will fit. If it is a AGP Video card, then it won't work in most newer motherboards.

I would suggest you buy a USB Hard Drive enclosure for the old Drive. The old Drive can be mounted internally, but there has to be a spot for it. Some Manufactures have Cases set up so only one Drive fits inside.

looking at you case from the front, take off the left cover, then sit it down flat on its right hand side, if its a new pc it will likely be red sata cables, can you tell us if it is and also is your old hard drive sata or ide ?
