Got a PS3 today....

Blah. I need to go buy my own PS3 HDMI cable after all. The one we have is way to big to fit the HDMI Out slot on my PS3.

the human eye CAN NOT detect the difference between 1080i and 1080p. ;) it has been proven many time

Uh, yes it can, because I noticed it right away. You just need a screen big enough to notice the difference in resolutions.

yes you do because the PS3 uses that funny conenctor at the PS3 end (same as the PS2).
well, you'd need a tv that supports 1080p, wich ours does not. by the way, 780p looks not as good as 1080i.. at least, on our tv it doesn't

I'm playing mine with 480i and it looks fine :P It doesn't matter that I would be uing ANYTHING higher if my tv supported it........it still looks pretty good

monoprice.com is where I got mine, if it's under 10 feet in length you don't need a very high quality one.

Just got my MGS4 PS3 bundle yesterday + GTA4 and both are awesome.
 
Yeah I don't want to create another thread so I'll just post back in here. So for my wishlist for christmas I have no idea what to get so I figured I will ask for some PS3 games. Right now I have Gran Turismo 5, Haze, Sonic, COD 4 and GH3 & World Tour. So far I asked for Fallout 3 and CoD5. Any other games that I should get?

Metal Gear Solid 4 man get that has best storyline great graphics to me umm gran turismo 5 prologue is straight but when they come out with the 5 version of 5 that will be awesome to look into if you like realistic racing games but be warned s rank racing on prologue is a pain in the butt i still havent beat all the s class race by the way anybody that has can you tell me what car to use on the last s rank race at the very bottom cuz im having trouble with that

heavenly sword is good but not everybody likes playing as nariko in a beat em up style game maybe its cuz she looks tough and good at the same time i dont know but i love starring at her butt the whole night slashing away lol

call of duty 4 if you dont have that for pc or for 360 id recommed cod4
