Got any ideas on a new system?

I bought an ASUS K8V-X, big mistake I should have waited to get a motherboard with PCI-e because I want a better video card, I most likely would get one that is PCI-e. Meanin I will need a socket 939 mobo if I want to run SLI, right now I have a Socket 754 AMD Athlon 3700+ the most powerful processor availible for that socket. Any suggestions for a my new dream machine for next year 1300$ canadian or less?

You can still get very nice video cards for AGP, I would worry about dual channel more then slu with your new 939. Your not getting a dream machine for 1300, but sell your curent PC and that will at least give you some more.

I like these kinds of threads. What is 1300 canadian compared to USA $? Do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers?

*EDIT*
i used a currency converter 1300 canadian = 1,114.4927 usa dollar

Your not getting a dream machine for 1300

that is enough for a lot of peoples dream machines.

Sorry for taking a while to respond, very busy, I probably will sell my current computer, as a younger person I only make so much a year like 500-2700 a year depending on what I do to make money, I now have my display pic as the system, I do not need any extras like keyboards, mice, moniter, speakers, etc.
