Well, sort of... I got a mac mini :) Don't worry, I'm not turning on you guys, i'm still using PC as the main one, but I've always wanted one of these, espcailly before everything goes from PPC to intel based macs...

Even for those who don't like the systems, they are quite cool! Dad got an internal DVD-RW. I set my mac ontop of it, and it wasn't much larger than the drive!

I hope to use this little guy for some video editing and maybe photo editing. I might also use it at school rather than my massive computer. Why? Because it's silent, can't play games too well, and tiny!

Specs for the interested...
1.33GHz PowerPC G4
512M PC3200
Slot loading DVD-ROM/CD-RW(I beleive...)
40G HD
ATI Radeon 9200 w/ 32M RAM

I was quite intrigued when these come out... You like it for your less intensive tasks though? They certainly look pretty cool.

i found a few articles on what to do to make it a better machine (like adding a bit more memory and such) and how to make it run on a rechargeable battery because I was looking into getting one before I knew that making a pc custom is easy. If you want I can dig them up for you. if i dont find them i think i just searched on google so you can try that or you can just leave it alone and not risk breaking it :D .

TheChef - Yeah, mostly internet crap, but I might try some other things. Perhaps some videos or something. It should be able to use my external HD and DVD-RW, right? Either way, yeah, it's tiny, looks awsome :D I also got a PC/MAC remote. I could turn this into a DVD Player ;)

Lamilia - Opening these darn things would be a pain. I probably won't bother with RAM for a while, but some of those artcals might be worth reading though. If you have them handy, I wouldn't mind seeing them. If not, it's all good :)

Bah silent computers .... just make sure you dont buy speakers cuz that.. you know ... would ruin the silence ;)

Hmm is that a "normal" 9200 or a Mac-edition?

one website says a putty knife or a flatblade screwdriver (they also say opening it wont void the warranty). I have like 300 bookmarks so if i have the links it going to be hard to find probably
