i need a gpu that can run gta 4 and nfs maxxed out, but i want a dual monitor setup also. I want to play gta on 1 and use windows on both. these are the only two series that i play and dont have anymore heavy video applications, but i heard that gta 4 has bad coding and requires 512mb for max but i want a dual setup (most likely 22'z)so im stuck...

you get get a gtx 295 or 2 of them and SLI them :D that would be sweet. or 2 285s. I don't have GTA 4 on pc, but from what i heard it takes a lot to max it out.

It looks like you have two separate issues here:

- Running GTA 4 and NFS well
- Supporting two displays

First, any dual headed GPU can easily support two 22" displays. Now, if you want to play games on those two displays simultaneously, you are asking for trouble with a $200 budget. ;)

Second, GTA 4 will also require a pretty hefty CPU. It seems to like Quad-Core machines a little more than Dual-Cores. If your desktop is as listed in your signature, then that Athlon 2800+ will be your biggest bottleneck, not the GPU.

this is for my friend i dont have the money yet for stuff like this he has an overclocked 8500 and wants to play only on one monitor

Edit: Oops...I took the 8500 as meaning the GPU at first.

He should be fine with the E8500. Something like a GTX260 (216 core version) can be found around $200. That would get you going.
