I noticed that my 8800 Ultra is running it's fan speed at 60%. Would running it at say 90% be bad for the 8800, or is there a certain speed that I shouldn't exceed? Thanks in advance!
I don't think having your GPU fan running at 100% all the time would be bad, load yeah, but not bad. It'd cool your card down, wear the fan out faster, but you wouldn't notice it anyway, you'd probably have a new card by the time the fan dies, if it ever does
Temperature with fan at 60% was 64 celcius, and that's with the msi 8800 ultra, so not too bad. At 80% it takes the temperature down to 55C, and at 100% to 52C. These are at idle too. I'm thinking of just keeping it at 80%, haven't tested load temps, but can't imagine they'll go up past 70C.
