I recently bought Crysis 2, but I had this issue earlier today. Whenever I get to a cinematic, it sometimes freezes completely and makes this annoying noise like "EEEHHHHHHHHHH" keeps on going. Weird coloured stripes appears as well. This happened to me in Black Ops as well.
My specs:
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit
ATI Radeon HD 5670
Cooler Master GX 750W
