okay, so i have a ati radeon 2600 hd pro, and i installed it and slipped it into the pci slot, thing is, the computer i have doens't have a brace for the card, in other words, the card moves really easily, like if i accidently bump the Monitor plug attached to it, it comes unplugged, i was wondering if any of you have ideas of how to "brace" it or stabalize it, i'm open to anything, maybe theres even a manufactured piece. I have a emachine t5254 just fyi.

So it's fitting in fine but is just a bit loose and can be knocked easily out of place?

By bracket do you mean this part here:

Because there is a screw that goes there that secures it all and I don't exactly know what you mean by bracket.
Some cases although have a special screwless thing that goes there. I just took mine off because I found the screws to be easier.

I sort of see the problem in a small photo on CNet, but it's difficult to really tell what's wrong, or if the problems more specific to your machine... Perhaps the easiest solution would be simply getting a new case and swapping the parts out. Without really seeing your case, it's difficult to say if there's an easy way to modify it so the card would work. I considered mentioning drilling a hole so you could use a screw, but you really need to empty out the case to do this safely, and I'm not even sure if that'd fix the problem...

yes, the above circled piece is the 'bracket' i'm tlaking about, i'll try to see if i can screw it in, or if theres a hole i missed, thanks!
