GPU shootout: What should i get

The X1650 pro is really bad man, do not touch it with a ten foot pole. If you want to get a high performance card, then get the 512MB 8800GTS, its pretty powerful on its own. Get one card for now, and in the future when the 8800GTS is really cheap, you can purchase another one and sli it for a quick and cheap increase in perfomance. I wouldn't hold my breath for the high end of series 9 to be out anytime soon, there just isn't the urgency to roll out it with the ATI camp pretty much abandoning the high end market.

I would go for crossfire if you want a dual card system, and you can get a much better motherboard. I'd get two 3870's, its the route i went. I don't regret my decision one bit, they outperform 8800GT's in SLI and even the G92 GTS's in most cases.

If it was me, i will never own another nvidia chipset.

thats was gonna be my next question.

2 HD3870's in crossfire.

Has anyone seen a review with Crysis and CoD4?

How does it perform vs SLI?

I heard that with crossfire, it doesnt do to well with AA and AF turned on?

And the reason why i think it might be better is, that the mobo ill get, has DDR2 and 3 compatibility and 45nm process, and crossfire :p

DDR3 for system RAM is just not worth it at the moment, its way too expensive, for now just stick with DDR2 1066, that's good enough.

2 3870's perform wickedly, and for the price you could even pick up two right now for just over $400 shipped.

Yes but is there any comparisons to SLI, with CoD4 and Crysis as a Benchmark?

Cause i wanna get top performance. And if the GT's provide it, ill get them, if they basically equall, ill get th HD3870's
