graphic card problem after installing new driver

Hi there.

My graphic card AMD 7870 has probably broke down after installing new driver. I was playing GTA V when the error showed up and game and win didnt respond only gray screen. I have noticed that driver was updating so I finished the instalation, restarded the pc my computer started to behave weirdly-after 2-3 minutes of playing--> BSOD, gray screen, pc didnt respond in any way. So I immediately uninstalled new driver and installed previous version of driver. On the screen appeared a green stripe, pc had problem to boot and this green stripe was in the bios, too. After removing my graphic card, cleaned it from dust (slot, too) nothing changed. My monitor and cable are ok, I tested it. Any suggestions?

Sorry for long text I tried to write everything I did to solve my problem.

I am running windows 7 64 bit, Graphic card- AMD sapphire 7870 OC 2 GB.

If it still is happening then its most likely shot. What brand and model of power supply do you have?
 
Green power 550 W, model AX55060APN. Still happening, nothing has changed. Power supply should be OK, power usage is under 400 W.
 
Can't tell if thats a good unit or not. I would try the card in another computer if you have access to one.
