Hey I'd like to know wich graphic card I could upgrade to...
My computer is:

Machine name: USER-8B
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)
Language: French (Regional Setting: French)
System Manufacturer: AWARD_
System Model: AWRDACPI
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.1GHz
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Page File: 493MB used, 1968MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Graphic Card is:
Card name: Radeon 9600/X1050 Series (Omega 3.8.442)
Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. (Omega 3.8.442)
Chip type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP (0x4150)

I would like to know (other solutions then buying a new computer) what could I do to increase my FPS in games. Is it the RAM, the graphic card, the processor?

Thanks.

We can't find out from the information you gave us easily. Do you have the model of your computer if it is a pre-built? Also, do you have the 9600 or x1050, and do you know if you have an AGP or PCI-E slot?

Computer is pre-built / 9600, AGP and I don't plan on playing crisis... more like counter strike source.
Motherboard is 741 GX-M

I've read about the AMD ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256 MB AGP Card and was wondering if my computer would take it. Just let me know if you think it would or w/e.

if its agp then look for an X800 from ATI (i had the GTO, its a great card) or the Nvidia 6800 series (the 6600 can lag sometimes...) if you can pick either of those up, you will be set to play counter strike on something like max settings

there is the 7800GS on AGP for sure, altough, going by the rest of your system (2800+ AMD, don't take its a 64bit one? and 1Gb of RAM ) that you'll be most likely better off getting a x800 indeed, see if you can pickup one of those cheap would be my suggestion :)

If your only planning on playing CS:S then a 9600 pro will handle that with ease.

CS:S isnt a very demanding game at all.
i know the 9600 pro can handle games such as Prey aswell as i used to own one.

my friend Kornowski is selling an X850 pro if your intrested maybe pm him.
