Graphics Boost?

Im running this on my comp (Specs in sig) and getting 20-30 fps 1024x768 on wow in very crowded areas...

IMO, 20-30 FPS is NOT playable. You will get lag with those frame rates which blows. With an 8600gts, he will almost never fall below 50 FPS at 1024x768 which is best for game play. No lag at all. And you know what, if he upgrades to a widescreen monitor in the future, say a 1440x900 19'' monitor, the 8600gts is still strong enough to play on that with atleast ~40fps all the time. All because he spent a measely $31 on a card.

if hes getting 20-30 in a crowded area, thats pretty damn good...dalaran and maybe a naxx would be the only areas where that may choke...

note: you can do geforce boost and (hybrid crossfire)? with specific chipsets and cards, however i do not think the 8800GTS supports it, used it with my 9800GTX+ cards on the board i have now, tho mainly to use the Hybrid Power feature, to quiet things down, with the latest nforce software it does not shut the fans on the cards down which was my main reason for using it, so i stopped fiddling with it

If you ever think 20-30 FPS is good no matter what situation, I feel sorry for you. It's $31, seriously, to get a card that will play 50+ at all times. Come on.

If you can find atleast a 3850, or a 4650, that would be OK. 3870 or 4670 would be better, but most likely those are $40+ but just in case you get lucky.

The 8600gts is your best bet though.
