Dsub, DVi, different graphics card external connectors, will either of them plug into my SVGA monitor

Well iit depends if you have those connectors on your monitor. Odds are your display will have the DSUB.

- DSUB is just called DSUB because [1] they felt like it [2] if you turn ur head sideways it kind looks like a 'D' and the insides are submerged
- SVGA isnt a "name" ... well you might be able to argue that but it certainly isnt a name just given to CRT monitors ... like I said before:

SVGA is a resolution protocol

SVGA entails 800x600 resolution, nothing more nothing less
