Graphics card for average gaming with core2 duo E8400

Hi all

I know the tech is old but I have an E8400 3Ghz Core 2 Duo CPU. I want to play some games on it but I am not bothered about super high fps. Just good enough on standard monitor will be fine.

1. What is a cheap second hand graphics card I can buy that will do the job?
2. How much memory do I need to have installed to play games?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi. Well currently I have 2 Gig. Would I need more? Games I dont know, not a gamer. Fancied playing a few but dont want to.go.over board. Just something to get me.going. I read a HD 6670 might do or a hd3850?
 
You should have at least 4gb of memory. You should have a quad core cpu and look for a 750ti video card. Would also need at least a 430-500 watt decent power supply.
 
Well I have bought a GTX 260 for £25. I think that should play some older games okay. We shall see..
