Graphics card just disappeared

My Matrox graphics just isnt there anymore......??? I am now running on extreme graphics..........but i need Matrox for my multi monitors. It comes and goes every now and then, but i dont know why. I cannot find any Matrox anywhere in my computer until next restart when it loads on startup.
 
sorry im lost...what you mean its dissapeared?

you mean you dont get any output from it sometimes and you have to use the mobos intergrated vga slot?:confused:
 
well i have the main monitor connected to the standard monitor slot that every computer has running extreme graphics. The other 2 monitors run in other card slot that uses the matrox graphics. Now i only have 1 monitor working and the other 2 are not read and i cant find any matrox control panel.
 
Ok I have just turned on the computer and it has made a whole bunch of loud beeps. There was a list of graphics related errors. Press F1 to setup or F2 to continue normal. I pressed F2 and computer works but no multi diplay on the Matrox graphics card anywhere and i cannot access multi display.

Any help.....below is the screen message at the beginning of start up.

Also once started up i get install wizard asking for install the new hardware foundL Video Controller VGA....but i do not have these CD's as i dont work for the company i got the computer from anymore, it was their display demo system also.


I went into control panel , system , Hardware , Device Manager...and there is my other devices which have 4 yellow marks thereon them...they are graphics related.

The top of the computer is very cool now also, it is usually quite warm, this is where the matrox card is. I opened up computer and the fan on the graphics card is spinning.

Ok I did a System Restore to 2 days ago. All matrox drivers are back on and working. This is weird can anyone give me an explanation?

The only 2 things I know I have done is remove a Rootkit through AVG AntiRootkit and install ThreatFire and also install Buzzsaw-S on the fly defragment.

I am presuming it was the Rootkit as threatfire would have warned me before making and changes. And i cannot see why defraging would remove drivers.
 
lol I not only have no clue what you are talking about, but I've also never seen 3 monitors one on top of another. good laugh

These monitors are usually used in shop front windows, mainly the real estate business. You can minimise alot of display space by having the screens changing photos or information. They are eye catching and a very strong marketing tool. I just use it for the multi diplay.....lol.

Ok it has happened again. No matrox graphics software or something on my computer anymore. System restore didnt fix the problem either this time. I also get the New Hardware Found Wizard which wont go away. Same error message as earlier in this thread.

But I wrote down info last time incase this happened, do I need to reinstall the software (i dont have the CDs can i find on the internet to d/load)

Im taking it that the computer just hates me......

I just got an update for iTunes and Quicktime and after the restart my displays are all on and working fine.

Can anyone explain this? Could it be the actual hardware is damaged?

I should rename this thread to: "A Glitch In The Matrox"
