graphics CARD - JUST INSTALLED AND NOT WOKRING ?

Hello
I just got an EAX 1600xt graphics card from a freind.
I installed it inot my motherboard. Connected everything up turned on the computer. The motherboard beeped a few times and nothiung came up on screen apart from 'power save mode'.
I tried configuring my motherboard to run from the card etc... but still wouldnt work.

Any ideas? I know the card is wokring becasue after a while it heats up, so power is getting to it.

Is this PCI-E? And what on you other computer specs.

Yeh its a PCI express - AMD athlon 64 x2 939 3800+, gig of ram, 400w PSU

Are you using a DVI to VGA adapter? If so it may have gone bad.

Is your monitor connected to the graphics card and not the mobo vga?

Its the asus editin - it has a VGA slot on it already - nothing comes up on screen when plugged into it but comes up on screen when pligged into intergrated VGA please guys i realy need help

Most of them are auto but you might need to use the onboard and go into the bios and disable the onboard, shut down and hook it up to the new card and see if it will boot.
