Graphics card stops responding in fullscreen. Help?

Well, recently, my graphics card has decided to stop responding every time I enter full screen mode in games. Although, this is not for every game. Really simple/old games don't mess up, and it only seems to be new things. As of now, I suspect it is a problem with OpenGL.

I start up a game, enters full screen, I see the screen get distorted for a few seconds, and then monitor says "No signal" and stays that way. I am running an ATI x800 pro.

I have tried installing the newer drivers, and I am now considering flashing and reinstalling the graphics card bios.

Thoughts?

Before flashing and re-installing the card bios, try to make sure that the problem is in the card by moving it to another PC, if this is available to you.

If the same problems occurs, then you can go ahead lashing and re-biosing. If not, then probably you are having a problem elsewhere.
