Graphics card temps...

hello all, just wondering what sort of temperatures your graphics cards run at?

i have a 9800xt 256mb and it is idleing on everest at 38 degrees, is that good or bad?

Heya

Your temps are just fine. However, it is not wise comparing different graphics cards because obviously each graphics chip runs at a different frequency and so on. A Geforce 4 MX-440 will obviously not heat up as much as a 7800GTX.

My GPU is @ 41*C. System is @ 32*C and CPU is @ 27*C (OCed to 2.46 Ghz).

right, my temps seem ok then, keep getting alerts about my psu volatges dropping and exeeding maximum limits, hurry up new one!!!

My GPU idles at 29C, CPU idles at 5C. 38C is perfectly fine for a idle GPU.

CPU at ~36-37C i have seen others with the same CPU idle below 30C using stock HSF

I just took these after i made the above post, my computer has been on for several hours today as well.

EDIT: And since windows has been idling a bit, the temps are now 6C for the CPU, and 27C for the GPU.

The pics above are all acurate, but i have a modified cooling system on my desktop. What i have is a dryer vent that sucks in cold air from outside, and it gets blown into my case. So the air in my case is pretty cold.

but i am using stock heaetsinks and fans on everything

My CPU idles at 28C and my 7800gt at 40C clocked at 500/1200

ahhhh my cpu now idleng at 31! and my gpu at 35 it is getting better, also got new fan, psu and memory on the way..

things are getting cool!

however... im not quite sure about your system temp being 20c and your cpu temp being 10c... that doesnt make much sense at all!

Right now its -1C outside. And why doesnt that make sense? When i touch the heatsink of my chipset, it feels pretty warm, then i feel the heatsink of my cpu and its cold. And normally system temps are hotter then cpu temps.

It´s pretty noisy isn´t it?

Its no louder then if it wasnt there, once i turn down the cpu fan it will be much quieter.
