graphics card upgrade recommendation

Ok, so it looks like it comes with a built in (onboard) Radeon HD card. The power supply is probably weak, and it's important before buying a video card to know that. If you open the case of your computer, just look on the power supply to see if it says a general wattage (for example 400W). The two links you posted don't work. Especially on this system, it's probably weak so it's a must. On the offset though, you're probably looking at a GTX 950 or GTX 1050. Those are moderately good cards, in the mid-range. If you want more power than that, yes you would have to upgrade the PSU as well, in which case a GTX 1060 6gb or better would work well. However with your processor, any more than that would be overkill likely. So, in this system I would recommend a GTX 950 ti.

yeah the PSU is only at 350w... should I get 500 or 600w?

If you want to save a bit of money and still get nearly same performance grab the 560. Power supply is overkill for either card but good to have headroom if you ever want to upgrade later and it's good for the price.

So, in this system I would recommend a GTX 950 ti.

Why are you recommending a card that's a generation old already? Also the 950 TI doesn't exist anyway, they never had a TI of that card.

Hence my thread asking to learn more about video cards. My bad.
